Karen is a tourism analyst for Tony Charters
and Associates. She holds a Bachelor of Science
in the fields of Ecology and Zoology with a background
in fieldwork and research in Australian Ecology, as well
as Interpretation and Education Programs. |

Her expertise includes:
- marketing consulting and corporate communications;
- reporting and publication synthesis and editing;
- survey design and analysis;
- website development;
- conference coordination;
- budgeting and contract management;
- liaison with media, government, non government and
private sector stakeholders; and
- systems establishment.

Karen Brock |
Karen has worked within tourism and hospitality
since 1998, with experience both in tourism events and
tourism project research. She has worked with operators,
local, state and national tourism bodies, state government
and industry councils. Karen’s project and
event work has involved: research and analysis; company
and event marketing and communication; publication editing
and release; designing and maintaining event and company
websites; and funding applications. Karen was the
Director for the highly successful Tourism Futures National
Conferences from 2006 and has designed the TCA event administrative
framework. |

She has specialist expertise in Asia, and has lived and travelled extensively though Northern, Central and South-East Asia. She also has extensive experience in administrative support, managing administration and accounts, and procedural establishment for a variety of organisations including the QUT Ombuds Office and the Brisbane Arts Theatre. |
