Access is a critical factor in tourism, with roads and transport akin to being the lifelines to industry. Drive is still the biggest means of access for tourism and provides a vital linkage to transport. Queensland Transport and the Department of Main Roads, assisted by Tourism Queensland will explore tourism infrastructure and tourism growth strategies for expansion into the next decade.

Session 1: Department of Main Roads, Queensland Transport and Tourism Queensland Historical overview and reasons why transport matters.
